1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Interactive xAPI Designer plugin published by Loo Kang WEE. The plugin is a package of instructions and reference material that assists ChatGPT or Codex with designing educational interactives and xAPI learning analytics.
This policy does not replace the privacy terms of OpenAI, Singapore Student Learning Space (SLS), a learning record store, GitHub, a school, or any other service a user chooses to access.
2. Information processed when you use the plugin
The plugin may work with information that you choose to provide in ChatGPT or Codex, such as a learning goal, prompt, URL, HTML file, ZIP archive, interaction design, test data, or source code. That information is processed within the OpenAI product according to your account settings and OpenAI’s applicable policies.
The plugin developer does not operate a separate plugin server and does not automatically receive your ChatGPT conversations, uploaded files, or generated results merely because you install or use this plugin.
3. Information the plugin does not automatically collect
- No plugin-controlled user account, advertising profile, or cross-site tracking profile is created.
- The plugin does not automatically transmit learner records, prompts, files, or xAPI statements to the developer.
- The plugin does not require names, diagnoses, passwords, authentication values, or private keys.
- The plugin does not itself place analytics or advertising cookies on the policy pages published here.
4. xAPI and educational data
The plugin can help create an interactive that records learning evidence, such as attempts, answers, confidence, hint use, strategy codes, misconceptions, revisions, progress, and completion. That data is not collected by the plugin merely because the plugin designed the interactive. Collection occurs only if the resulting interactive is configured and launched in a system that stores or transmits it.
Design guidance supplied by the plugin is intended to minimise data: use stable item or option identifiers, keep histories bounded, avoid raw keystrokes, and avoid unnecessary free text or personal data. SLS launch identity should remain in the authorised transport layer and should not be copied into an activity’s state.
5. Optional external services
If you instruct ChatGPT or Codex to open a website, download a sample, publish a file, create a GitHub issue, upload an interactive, or connect to SLS or a learning record store, the selected external service may receive the content you submit and ordinary request information such as IP address, browser or client details, requested URL, and time of access. Its own privacy policy and retention rules apply.
The related SLS Prompt Generator and xAPI Integrator are separate web services. Uploading a file to either service is an intentional external transfer and is not required merely to install the plugin.
6. Website logs and local storage
The web host for iwant2study.org may keep standard server logs for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. These logs may include an IP address, user agent, requested page, referrer, status code, and timestamp. The static support, privacy, and terms pages do not contain sign-in code, analytics scripts, advertising scripts, or forms.
Other iwant2study.org tools may use cookies, browser storage, authentication, uploads, or notifications as described on those tools and are outside the plugin-only scope of this policy.
7. Retention and deletion
The plugin developer does not intentionally retain your plugin prompts or files on a plugin-controlled server. Content submitted to OpenAI, GitHub, SLS, iwant2study.org tools, a learning record store, or another service is retained according to that service and the choices made by the relevant account or institution. Public support issues remain visible according to GitHub’s controls unless edited or removed.
8. Security
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the published plugin and documentation safe. No system is completely secure. Do not provide credentials, SLS launch authentication values, private keys, confidential learner records, or other secrets in prompts, uploaded samples, or public support issues.
9. Children and student use
The plugin is intended primarily as an authoring aid for educators, developers, and other adults. An institution using a generated interactive with students is responsible for age-appropriate notice, consent or other lawful authority, access controls, data minimisation, and compliance with applicable education and privacy requirements.
10. Your choices and requests
You can choose not to provide personal data, remove identifying information from example files, avoid external uploads, and test with synthetic records. For a question about this policy or developer-controlled website content, use the support page. Do not include sensitive personal data in a public issue.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the plugin or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current published version.
12. Other applicable policies
Use of ChatGPT or Codex is also governed by OpenAI’s Privacy Policy and applicable service terms. Those OpenAI policies are separate from this developer policy.
