• Bulbs in series: Connected one after another in a single loop.
• Bulbs in parallel: Placed on different branches with their own path for electricity.

Don't let the drawing trick you! Trace the path with your finger. If the path splits, those parts are in parallel. If all electricity must flow through a bulb before it splits, that bulb is on the main line!
