Rhetorical Question: A question asked for effect, not expecting an answer, to make the audience think.
Emotive Language: Words chosen to evoke emotional responses and connect with the audience's feelings.
Alliteration: Repetition of the same sound at the beginning of words to create rhythm and emphasis.

On the left side, you'll see a speech excerpt. Read it carefully to understand the message.

🎨 Select a Technique

On the right side, click on one of the persuasive technique buttons to select it.

Try it: Click "Repetition" to select that technique. The button will turn purple when selected!

Read the description that appears to learn about the technique.

👆 Mark the Words

After selecting a technique, click on words in the speech that use that technique.

Example: If you selected "Repetition", click on words that are repeated in the speech.

Each technique has a different color:

  • Yellow = Repetition
  • Green = Rhetorical Question
  • Pink = Emotive Language
  • Blue = Alliteration

✅ Check Your Answers

When you're done marking all the techniques, click the "✓ Check Answers" button.

You'll see:

  • ✅ Green = Correct identification
  • ❌ Red = Incorrect or missed
  • 📊 Your accuracy score
